  1. 1. Tickets

    Tickets may be sold and purchased only in British Columbia.

    Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older.

  3. 3. Important Dates & Draw Information

    Deadline
    Final ticket sales deadline: December 6, 2021 at 12:00:00 a.m. PST

    Draw
    Raffle draw: December 6, 2021 at 6:00:00 p.m. PST

    Draw will be held at 1871 Coldwell Road, North Vancouver, BC V7G 2P3

    The winning ticket is drawn using Random Number Generator software (RNG). 

    All members of the public are welcome to attend the draw via Zoom Live Stream: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88941479205

    Winners will be posted online at https://nsbbs.rafflenexus.com/winners on December 6, 2021.

  4. 4. Winner

    Winner will be contacted by phone by the North Shore Black Bear Society.

    Winners consent to release of their names by licensee.

    If a winning ticket bears a minor's name, the prize will be lawfully delivered to the minor's parent, legal guardian or trustee.

    No tickets will be purchased by the Board of Directors of the North Shore Black Bear Society or employees involved with the conduct and management of the ticket raffle.

    North Shore Black Bear Society does not sell, rent or exchange any personal information collected from our supporters with any other organization or entity.

Cause

The North Shore Black Bear Society is a non-profit supporting responsible coexistence of people and bears through education. We are fundraising to help increase our outreach, which promotes the best practices for living and exploring in areas where bears live and aims to reduce the number of human-caused black bear deaths. In the summer of 2020, we introduced a young male bear from Deep Cove, Huckleberry. Sadly, this peaceful and trusting bear was killed a few weeks later for finding food from humans. His story touched the community, and it was only fitting that when local artist Louise Nicholson reached out to offer a painting, that we asked her to capture this well-known and loved bear.
